Why employee education matters
For most employees, benefits come up once a year, usually the week before an enrollment deadline. Without someone to explain the choices, people roll over last year’s elections, skip coverage that would help their family, or pick a plan that costs them more than it needs to.
When employees understand what they have, the money you spend on benefits does more of what you intended. They use the right care, they see the value of what you contribute, and fewer questions and surprises end up on your desk later.
What good benefits education does
Better decisions for employees
Employees choose plans that fit their health, family, and budget instead of guessing or defaulting to what they had last year.
More value from your benefits spend
People use what they know about. That includes preventive care, telehealth, and voluntary coverage that often goes unnoticed.
Recognition for what you provide
Employees often underestimate how much their employer contributes. Clear explanations help them see the full value of their compensation.
Fewer questions landing on you
Employees get answers from licensed benefits professionals, so you and your HR team are not left interpreting plan documents.
Smoother enrollments
Complete, accurate elections mean fewer corrections, missed dependents, and billing problems after the plan year starts.
Stronger recruiting and retention
Benefits people understand are benefits that help keep them. Good education reinforces the reasons employees join and stay.
Three ways we meet with your employees
Every workforce is different, so we offer three formats. Most employers use a mix, and we will help you decide what fits your team.
On-site group meetings
We come to your workplace and walk employees through their plan options, costs, what changed from last year, and how to enroll. We leave plenty of time for questions and can hold more than one session to cover different shifts.
Best for: open enrollment and teams that work at one location
One-on-one employee meetings
Some questions are personal. Employees can sit down privately with a benefits professional to talk through their situation, compare options for their family, and get help completing enrollment.
Best for: employees with family changes, health needs, or detailed questions
Virtual education sessions
For remote employees, multiple locations, or busy schedules, we host live online sessions that cover the same material as an on-site meeting. Employees join from a computer or phone and ask questions in real time.
Best for: remote or spread-out teams and hard-to-schedule groups
When we provide education
Open enrollment
Before each plan year, we explain what is changing, what it costs, and how to choose, then help employees enroll through Employee Navigator, the benefits administration platform we provide to our clients.
New hire benefit consultations
New employees get a benefits consultation when they become eligible, in person or online. We explain their options, answer their questions, and help them enroll correctly before their enrollment window closes.

Employee education Q&A
How long does a group enrollment meeting take?
It depends on how many plans you offer and how many questions come up. We plan each session with you ahead of time so it fits your schedule and your employees’ shifts.
Can you reach employees on different shifts or at different locations?
Yes. We can hold more than one on-site session, add virtual sessions, or offer one-on-one appointments so employees on every shift and at every location get the same information.
Why would an employee choose a one-on-one meeting?
Some topics are hard to raise in a group, like a spouse’s coverage, a new baby, a health condition, or a tight budget. A one-on-one meeting gives employees a private place to ask those questions and get advice for their own situation.
What do new hires receive?
New employees get a benefits consultation when they become eligible, either in person or online. We explain their options, answer questions, and help them enroll before their enrollment window closes.
Do you show employees how to use Employee Navigator?
Yes. We show employees how to log in, review their options, and complete their elections in Employee Navigator, so they know how to use it for the rest of the year.
Can employees ask questions after enrollment is over?
Yes. Education does not stop when enrollment closes. Employees can reach out to us during the year with questions about their coverage, claims, ID cards, or life events.
